Coach Warnock’s Paver Project

Have you heard of Coach Warnock's paver project? It’s a plan to install a nature trail on our campus that has supportive and colorful affirmational messages for our students. The plan is to install the pavers on Make a Difference Day 2018, which is on Saturday, October 27. We will start in the morning at 8:00 a.m., and we will need a lot of help! If you would like to help, please sign up. Thank you in advance for your assistance with this amazing project!

Love our Schools Day

Love our Schools Day is an opportunity for community members to connect with their local school by rolling up their sleeves and planting a garden or painting a classroom. In QCUSD and at GPA, Love our Schools Day will be on October 20 from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. We plan to beautify the school by painting murals and quotes throughout the inside and out by the playground. We would love all the help we can get. Please take a moment to sign up.

Yearbook Information

Thank you for your patience as we switch to online ordering for the yearbook. Please visit our Gateway Polytechnic Academy-AZ Store to order your 2018–2019 yearbook. You have the option of purchasing a hard cover binding for $31, or the soft cover binding (this is what last year's yearbook was) for $25. Please make sure that you fill in all information accurately. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Manalo. Prices will increase throughout the year, so don't put off ordering your GPA 2018–2019 yearbook.

Bench the Bag Announcement

This year, Queen Creek Unified School District will not be participating in Bench the Bag. Please advise anyone asking that we are no longer participating due to the Queen Creek shift of focus. It is a large project to take over due to man power and storage. Please recycle your bags at the grocery store entrance. Thank you!

Pick-Up and Car Riders

If your children are parent pick-up/car riders, please be sure to pick them up in the car line. If you are choosing to pick them up on foot, please let their teacher know they will now be walkers and pick them up in the walker line near the bike rack. We appreciate your help.

Road Safety

Thank you for helping all GPA students enter and exit campus safely. In partnership with Mesa Police and the City of Mesa, these reminders will best support you on our roads. I hope this information proves helpful and contuse to support the broader community needs.

Road Safety:

  • It is best to have a traffic flow.
  • Please arrive between 2:45 and 3:00pm for best traffic flow.
  • Arriving earlier than our 2:45pm release will create a back-up.
  • If your vehicle does not enter the parking area, we expect that you circle the neighborhood and return.
  • E. Sonneto Ave. is one lane.
  • Please do not create an additional right- turn lane. The lane size is not large enough to constitute a turn lane. MPD views that as passing which is illegal in our school zone. You will risk getting a ticket.
  • Please do not pass the cars turning into school by using the center lane for the same reason.
  • No parking on E. Sonneto Ave. You will risk getting a ticket.
  • There is “no passing” in a school zone.
  • Cars not entering the parking lot are to circle the neighborhood and come back to our lot when there is a natural flow to best follow road laws per Mesa Police.
  • The City of Mesa does not allow parking on S. Marron. Please read the no parking signs.

Thank you ahead of time for your commitment to all student safety here at GPA!
